My Hotpoint Aquarius SDW60 keeps blowing plug fuse what might it be?

A couple days ago I came to the dishwasher - it had no power and there was a electrical burning smell. I replaced the fuse in the plug and the power came on again. I then did a pre-wash because I suspected the pump was burned out - this worked fine. We then loaded it up and again it blew the fuse during the cycle. How many pumps are there on the machine? Is it likely to be the motor or heater and if so how easy is it to replace?

Thanks for your reply on my page where I'd submitted my question re my: Bosch dishwasher fault, tripping fuse box, model no: srs56l02gb.
I'm not sure which is the circuit fuse and which is the earth leakage trip.
When it happens it can either happen when the machine is about an hour into a 2 hour cycle or it can happen when is not doing any wash cycles at all but just plugged into the mains wall socket.
It can either trip just the main switch on the RCD box (it's not labelled to say what it is but all the electric in the house seems to go off), or, it can trip both this main switch on the RCD box and also the switch marked 'sockets'.

Have you tried anything to fix yours yet and did you try any of Peccavi's suggestions?

I have exactly the same problem with my dishwasher which is a Bosch srs56l02gb. My question on this site is entitled: Bosch dishwasher fault, model no: srs56l02gb ?
I'm sorry I don't have an answer to your question, but hopefully if we get replies it may answer problems for both our dishwashers, kind regards
