Mend Hotpoint DF61 Working Great Lost

blowing fuses?

I have a Hotpoint Aquarius DF61 and has been working great until it lost all power when the dial got round to '3 o'clock'. I checked and replaced the plug fuse 4 times and it always does it at this point only. I have turned the dial beyond that point with a new fuse in and it has worked fine. It seems to be when trying to fill up with water because the detergent compartment has not yet opened.
