what is causing the pump to run contiuously on my hnl6166?

Hi, i hope someone can help me, i have a Hoover hnl6166 washing machine. The drain pump is running continuously and the machine will not run through the programs...it will complete a spin cycle when set to do so, anyone have any knowledge of this machine ? ... please help
