my thomson topuptv box will no longer record ?

My Thomson Top up TV box will not record. I go ...My Thomson Top up TV box will not record. I go to the TV guide, press the R button. It then takes me to 'Planned Recordings' list. I press R again and the programme I want to record disapperas. I get constant messages saying 'Recording failed'. I cannot even record the programme I am watching. i have no recordings i deleted the lot and my memory card is free of everythng all the top up tv channels are deactivated and still doesnt work

try software reset
1) unplug unit from mains socket for 5 min

2) hold down the standby button

3) plug in unit and wait untill you see the light on the unit flash and imediatley release standby button then press arrow buttons up-down-left-right. and that should solve the problem. good luck

I rang the help number & bloke (a Scot) was brill he talked me thro' a total reset & it's working better than ever

turn power off, turn on again to get green light, press menu>set up>help then 1397 on keypad go to option 10 to force next OAD, the box should reboot automatically. To check this press menu>set up>help and the version should have changed from 2.00 to 2.44.

i know what to do with it...hit it with a hamer 12-13 tims, i know it will not work agen but i feals so much better after all the times i mist my favorit programs cos of that frikin thing not recording ! good luck with your 's.

You are not alone, mine has stopped in the same way it also deleted all my saved recordings saying they become corrupted. I've emailed tutv for help
