Mend Indesit DVG622 Dishwasher Element Thermostat

Indesit DVG622 not heating?

Our Indesit DVG622 dishwasher isn't heating. Goes throgh the wash cycle but skips the rinse phase.
I've tested the element and it's OK, also the thermostat at the back right of the baseplate shows closed circuit so I presume this is also OK. Any idea what next to test and how.
