How can I fix my Ford Transit Van 2.5 di P reg?

I have a Ford Transit van 2.5di P reg - starts fine in warm weather but struggles to start when temperature falls below 10 degrees - when it does finally start after jump start there is smoke coming out from under the bonnet somewhere!!

you will have to determine where this smoke is coming from,is it electrical?you say it needs a jump start,you will have to check your connections at battery and starter including earth leads and maybe get your battery tested and alternator output checked also.
