Mend Oil Boiler Central Heating

why does my oil central heating boiler keep cutting out ?

when i turn my heating on it comes on for about 45 mins then cuts out and smoke comes from the bolier the reset light comes on the boiler and if you press it it fires up again and restarts but keeps cutting out. the boiler has been serviced and cleaned.
