how do i add a pull switch to a kitchen sink light?

I have a pull switch which i have disassembled from a fan it has a one red and black wire on top and one blue and back on the bottom which were used for the high medium low settings i have cut those off . i have it wired with the switch now to where the pull chain doesnt shut it off how do i wire it?
