where does the 2 black pull chains go?

i pulled the chain to the light on the ceiling fan and it come out,i wanted to leave the wall switch on so the fan would run,and shut the light off,my question is i replaced the light socket white to white and black to black,but i cut the 2 black wires from the pull chain off to put the new one in and i forgot where they connect to pleas help
