How to fit a VW golf driver side door lock?

Got a vw golf, i have replaced the window regulators, doing this meant i had to take the lock out. I have unscrewed it too much and the bracket fell out! The bit that everyone worns yu abouot I have it but don't know which way round it goes or how to put it in correctly, look like the screw head goes in a gap but tried and it keeps falling out. Any ideas or pics to help with this. The electrics seem to have failed to, no electric windows, no alarm no inside light. I have to turn the ley in the lock to make the windows go down so i can get the dorr panel out.
