how can i fix my oven( MILANO FLAVEL)?

I TURN ON GAS , I THEN IGNITE OVEN , I HOLD FOR AT LEAST 15 SECONDS, I THEN RELEASE AND OVEN GOES OUT ,,, I HAVE TRIED HOLDING FOR LONGER,BUT TO NO AVAIL
