Mend Cannon Chester Ignition

Cannon Chester ignition problem?

My main oven started clicking while it was on. It continues to click but will not ignite. You can light the gas with a match, the oven then warms to the right temperature. Its just the constant clicking that will not light the gas. I would really appreciate any help to stop the clicking, its driving me mad.
