Mend Dishwasher Stuck Cycle

dishwasher stuck in drain cycle. ?

sink clogged last night. plumber called and unclogged sink. before he arrived I plunged sink and it backed my into dishwasher & water overflowed onto floor. Hand emptied water out of dishwasher. there is no backcheck valve in line to dishwasher. now it just runs trying to empty water (no water present in dishwasher)
