Well done Acorn, the other option would be to purchase a replacement keypad, Scantronic have done 2 new runs of replacement keypads for the 9800 this year, very limited runs of the 9827. Scantronic or Cooper will not sell to the general public, just the wholesalers. To be fare if you did phone them they would just tell you they are now an obsolete stock item. I do have the keypad in stock, but a lot of my customers have the 9800+ so that id rather hang on to most of them. I also have quite a few main PCBs and NVM chips if it helps people out.

Lets hope this lot is helpful enough shall we?

As a thought first, if you have only one code why not leave it there and add a

new one not using the '0'?
Doing that will save the hassle of trying to get the '0' to work while

completing the code change.

Have a look at the NOTE at the bottom first and see what you think.

1. Enter OLD code

2. Press 'Prog' Key (No 4)

3. Display will ask for old code (oc)
Enter old four digit code

4. Display will ask for new code (nc).
Enter new four digit code

5. Press the ‘Clear’ button to register the new code in the system memory and

to return the system to the ‘Day’ state.

6. Repeat steps (1) to (5) to allocate or amend the other three codes if
required. The user can also change the ‘Duress’ code in the same way,
by entering the old code, new code and pressing ‘Clear’.

NOTE: ( AND DO THIS CAREFULLY )

To add a 2nd, 3rd or 4th code for the first time, enter (as OLD code) AAAA for

second code, BBBB for third code, CCCC for the fourth code.

This is the only time that these keys are used as an access code. When an
existing code is to be changed, the user must enter the old four-digit code.
