Mend Stoves Gas Oven

Stoves gas oven?

my gas oven lights and appears to heat up but takes hours to cook anything specially if it says cook from frozen example an item that says takes 35 mins from frozen takes over an hour and heaven help if I put oven chips in with it then it takes 90mins. This is absolutely ridiculous, why is it not working?

You are one up on us in that your oven actually ignites!
There is a long thermostat on the top front ceiling of the main oven, just behind the door. Is it possible it needs cleaning? Ours became detatched a while ago and needed replacement.
