How can I fix my Maytag Performa Washer #PAVT234AWW?

My washer is just about a year old. It goes through the cycles but when the wash is all done there's water that still drips in the washer where the water fills from.I have to shut off the valve as soon as the wsh is finished, if not I have to put it through the spin again.
