Mend Singer 1120 Sewing Machine Needle Timing

How do I time a Singer model 1120?

I have a Singer 1120 sewing machine. I knocked the timing out of it by sewing heavy canvas. Both the hook is off from where it should be on the full down stroke and the needle goes down too far. Any assistance on timing this machine would be greatly appreciated.
