how can i fix my shorting brake lights 1996 vw caddy?

You will need a wiring schematic to fix problem to see what is all on that circuit .......one fuse usually runs 3 or 4 differnt things ...........once you find all that is on fuse you can unplug all units and try to see if it blows fuse if it does its the the wiring and not a componet in line ........put fuse links in line at certain spots to isolate problem then youll know whitch way to go .............sometimes in the process you will actually fix the problem ..................be there done that ....
