Our Servis Rainwave 1000 washing machine struggles to turn the drum with an?

Our Servis Rainwave 1000 washing machine struggles to turn the drum with anything more than 1/2 load. What could cause the motor to loose power?
Mike previously replied that it could possibly be badly worn motor brushes but I've since checked and there don't apear to be any on this motor. The model no. of the rainwave is 963609715 M391

It's a big capicitor that needs replacing that controls the torque of the motor. I had same fault with mine.
