Hi i have jones sewing machine that you have helped me get working i have now got another problem it blew up the foot peddle has a battery like thing i need to know whats its called anybody ty

Hello cathy,
It is called a capacitor or suppressor, they do blow sometimes, take it out and discard it and you will find the machine will work okay, you don't need it these days.
