Miele G841 won't run a cycle?

I thought the drain was clogged because it shut down after filling with warn water,so I took apart the drain and sink return, both ok. I then turned it on and it drained the water and when it tried to run, I heard the water come into the dishwasher but an intake/drain light came on and shut it down???? It wouldn't drain the water again so it must have a timed trip, maybe, before it will reset? What would cause this and can I repair it myself?
