Mend Creda CDV262 Not Off Clothes

Creda Dryer Model CDV262 does not turn off (clothes dry but . . ?

but does not turn off automatically and on the time-dry setting, does not advance.
I am using my kitchen timer to approximate the drying time. That works but I would like to know what I need to fix the dryer.
