how do I fix my brake lights on a 1.8 diesel ford courier van?

brake lights and driving lights are interfereing with the dash boards lights, everything seems to be out of sequence, changed light bulbs and fuses, not sure if fuses are in correct place.
Back light is now out, but brake light works ok

sounds like bad earth/connection on rear lights,check where wire bolts to body that it is a good/clean connection, also make sure contacts on rear light boards are the same -clean and good connections.make sure also that the correct bulbs are fitted in correct holders!
