I connected a rear view camera with a wireless monitor and noted the following:
1) There are six connectors on the light fixtrue, that has four bulbs with the 'light/brake' (two filaments) at the top, indicator below that, reverse bulb below that and the othr 'light' bulb at the bottom.
2) There are nine wires at the top of the bulb fixture. Three wires come from the front of the vehilce and six lead along the rear of the van to the opposite corner. The light fixture/circuit board shows the reverse blulb connects to the wires leading in from the far right hand side. There are two wires both purple and black. One leads from the front of the vehicle and it's that one that I connected the live wire to from the camera that is mounted on the licence plate. There are a couple of 'Earth' mounts at the back of the van and including one just above the rear light fixture. I used that one to connect the 'negative' wire to from the camera. ALL OF THIS I DID WHILST THE TWO NEGATIVE CONNECTORS AT EACH BATTERY WERE DISCONNECTED.
I hope that this helps anyone else endeavouring to connect a rear view camera and monitor to their Ford Transit van. Good luck and thanks for your response.
