How cam i fix my lcd monitor which has gone very light?

when i log on to my account the screen is alright for a couple of minutes then it goes very light almost completly white. So white that i can hardly see the desktop items. This only happens on my account not on anybody elses. What should i do to fix it. I think it is a virus. If it is can you reccomend some software to get rid of it. The monitor and tower are both Fujitsu Siemens Scaleo L
