Mend Peugeot 307 Driving

Gear Stick floppy, stuck in 2nd gear - peugeot 307?

I was driving home last night and moved from 1st to second gear. All of a sudden the gear stick started to feel very loose and only moves back and forward. I cant move it into any other gear. Meaning I cant reverse it out to take it to a garage!!

Feels like maybe something that connects the gearstick to wherever it connects to has come out??? Any help appreciated!!

Its the linkage that connects to the gearbox has come adrift...not uncommon! You'll need a tow to a garage though, unless you can get there in 2nd gear....
