petrol tank leaking from seam?

Must be a common prob with the SP534, I'm after my 3rd tank in 3 years.

melt/weld plastic with soldering iron, but fill with water first to avoid any spark/explosion.

If it's an SV150, the only cure is a new tank - which incorporates the starter assembly.

It's possible to weld the seam with a soldering iron, (no maked flames, obviously) - you have nothing to lose by trying.

Don't waste your time on this one...you wont get anywhere without having the seam plastic welded, and that won't be cheaper than a new tank.
