Hi my Miele Prestige suddenly stopped working saying to check inlet and drain(both lights flashing) I have checked the drain pipr (all clear) and the inlet is also fine. Have also drained the filter...cleaned it cleaned the tray etc...but still the lights are flashing and it won't go onto a cycle. Called up miele who said it could just be clogged up in which case it won't fall under warrentee (less than a year old). Does it sound like its blocked up..if so is there a relitively easy way I can unblock, bearing in mind i can't get it to run a cycle. Cheers, Andy

Inlet light only on mine ! Comes on after cleaning everything twice ! It tries to cycle but light come back on again ! Although now 14 year old it never been over worked !

Thank you so much, after cleaning inlet and drain on Miele washing machine, still flashing lights, we did exactly as you said , tilted machine forward, more water came out, now working perfectly, really appreciated your advice

Awesome! that worked for me too. Both lights flashing and I had already drained and cleaned the drain filter. After reading this thread, I tilted the machine 45 degrees, more water came out. Turned machine back on and all clear and good to go! Thanks Christian and other contributors!

I had the same problem. Called the repair, found this forum.
Did as was suggested. And incredibly it worked. Will have all the washing done with the kids uniforms. Before my wife gets back from holiday. Thanks philippe

Worked like a charm. Titling the washing machine forward and lots of extra water drained out. Fixed our two warning lights problem and now back to normal.

I had two lights flashing this morning on my first wash after discovering a lavender bag had inadvertently got into the wash. When I first opened the door I thought it was maggots! I cleaned out the filter before my next wash .The next wash the drain and pump light were flashing I stopped the machine opened door with yellow tag bottom left and removed the washing, I cleaned the filter and reassembled to no effect. I then checked the filter again and pulled machine forward as directed to drain, very heavy. Put everything back in place and hey presto all is ok and a load is being washed now. Thank you for saving me a call out fee.

Great spot on.
A good 45Degrees forward, towels on the floor.
Back up replace filter, power on no fault lights.
They need to relocate there sensor, may be they have in later machines!! Mines 2008. 1st time any trouble. There was a lot of black gunge in the filter water ? Posted Jan 2016.

Hello.Yes I did it and tilted wasching machine.Extra water drained out from the initial pipe. Sensor stopped passing wrong signal.All of the flushing lights went off. Miele washing machine is working as new.Thank you very much for that extra matter TIP.

Tilting the machine forward with the front filter hole open really worked! The extra water drained out and the pesky lights went out.

Remove the filter cap on the front left side of machine- remove anything (debris coins etc) that might be an obvious block. Whilst the machine is unplugged- tilt it forwards to release the 'trapped' water that the machine is sensing- once you have done this put the filter cap back on and plug the machine in again. It should work again! No need for a costly call out.

Take out the filter & have a real good look inside where the pump impellor sits (not the filter itself). Sometimes something as innocent as a shirt button is enough to jam an impellor. Make sure the impellor turns ok.
