Dismantle the machine around the area closest to where the power cord disappears from view as it enters the machine. Somewhere not too far away from this very point of disappearance there will be a terminal, disconnect the power cord at this terminal, using a screwdriver.
Replace the old cord with a new one by doing what you have just done but this time in reverse.
