left tail light problem on my trailer?

my trailer is connected to my 07 GMC Sierra Z71 with a trailer package with a 4-wire flat connector. The tail lights on the right work fine. The left light gives me problems so I replaced the light. Now only the left turn signal works. What can I do to get the brake and driving light to work?
