how do I change the heating element?

Myson EPR 400w towel rail radiator oil filled-10/12 yrs old.The element has gone.I have found one from Adige which is compatible with oil rads.How does on e go about fitting it and when the old one comes out does the oil drain out too.
I realise this might have to be done by a proff. but would still like to know.Also are all these elements interchangeable ie.same diameter.Best to know before buying online
