how to stop my heating pump from running continuously ?

I have a Baxi Solo 3PF boiler, this boiler has an 8 minute pump over run incorporated within the system.
Recently however when the boiler switches off the pump will not cut off after the 8 minutes but runs continuously.
Is this the external controls fault or a PCB fault, or some other control within the boiler?
