Mend Kenwood KBS-IIB Fine Untill Starts

Ref Kenwood KBS-IIB, always on standby, is it possible to fix this?

I have a Kenwood KBS-11B that works fine, for a while untill the stand by light starts to flash.
According to one of your answers this is related to the heater element in the main unit, can this be replaced or is it a bin job?
