How can I fix my Hoover 1300 Special Edition Washing Machine?
Underwire of bra is caught between the outer & inner drum of Hoover1300 special edition washing machine. I can see it lying on the bottom of the machine through the holes in the steel drum. It jumps up during spin cycle and creates a racket, but I cannot get a grip of it to pull it through. Can I open the back of the drum to remove it?
You can't open the back of the drum but you could remove the heater element or sump hose to retreive it. Depends on how mechanically minded you are. Be sure to turn the power off & pull the plug before doing anything.
Bra wires (or any other foreign object for that matter) stuck between the drum & tub is bad news. It can destroy your heater element. If a coin gets stuck in there it can actually punch a hole in the tub.
