How can I fix my Morphy Richards Steam Jet Elite ?

The standby light is blinking on my iron (model 42278). There is no steam coming out as the water doesn't seem to be getting through. I have taken the iron apart and cleaned the "elbow" which was not blocked with any white deposit. Any ideas?
