Mend Cuisinart DLC-8 Bowl Food Processor

bowl is stuck on the base of food processor?

We have a Cuisinart DLC-8, the bowl is stuck onto the base and we are unable to move it so it can be washed, Can someone suggest how I might fix this? Or should I get a new food processor.
