Polaroid DVD Player PDV-813A?

My DVD player works great until about scene 14 or 15 (about 2/3 of the way thru the movie) and then it freezes... it won't go forward or reverse.... have to shut off the player.... It just freezes with the scene in "freeze frame". Is there anything I can do to fix this?
