Polaroid 7" portable DVD Player PDM-2727 extra screen has no picture/sound?

My Polaroid 7" portable DVD player PDM-2727 with the extra screen has no picture or sound on the extra screen. Power gets to it but it shows a picture of a low batter on it? As far as I know there is not a batter in the extra screen.

Check the in/out labels on the power cable. When using the extra screen the cables run opposite of what you would expect.
