can not use my key fob ?

hi i have a rover 111 ascot petrol 1997 my key fob is not working so i have changed the battery but still not letting me swich the flashing light off so can not start my car to get it to the garage i have found a garage that sells key fobs for my car but then they have said i have to take it to another garage to get it sync to my car is there a way of taking the immobilizer off so i can drive it looked in manual but it does not say thank you

Hi,

Tech-Tronics in Manchester (0161 869 0050) can supply you a fob programmed to your car for £90 +vat (no need to move the car etc).

Is the light on the key coming on when you press either button?
Put key in drivers door lock.
Lock then unlock the door and push the lock button on the fob 6 times.
If that doesnt work try the instructions on this site-
