Mend Hoover F7424-900 Top Brushes Working

Hoover moldle F7424-900 need to take of top casing?

The brushes quit working on my hoover carpet cleanre,and after investigating I`ve see the spring to the brush on off switch is disconected.I can`t seem to figure out how to get the top casing off to work on it.Can anyone help me?
