Problem with Pentax Optio M20 Camara?

Turn camara on - opening screen appears - Next screen says AUTO PICT and shows camara to be in GREEN MODE -Then camara shuts down. Does same thing every time you turn camara on.

My camera did the same thing like Richard (Oct 2009).
I turn it on then it beeps 3 times and turn itself off.
Can anyone give me a clue what is wrong with my camera?

Don't know what's wrong but my camera can't function in low light in door situations - all blurred. Also, there's a delay taking the photo, then it shuts down completely. However, now it has started to deplete the batteries (brand new ones too) in a matter of mins and gives shots that look like they've been taken through open venetian blinds. Afraid its going to the bin if Jessops can't give me any advice
