I have a VW T4 Westfalia Campervan and the battery is flat - what next?

I have a VW T4 Westfalia Campervan and the battery is flat, also it is making a beeping (alarm?) sound as it has run down, not sure why? Is this normal? Any ideas?

yeh its making the noise because the battery is and that powers the alarm should stop eith a fresh battery.
