Whirpool AWZ541 Not Heating?

I have a Whirpool AWZ541 that is not heating. We have changed the thermostats but it still will not work. Can anyone suggest anything that could help

I am having difficulty removing the heating element from the back of the tumble dryer as the apperture seems too small.

For information: When testing the two thermostats, they measure around zero ohms and a good heating element should measure around 25 ohms. Mine heating element was o/c.

This is with no wires connected!!

Make sure the mains is disconnected before taking any measurements!!!

Another tip is to take a picture of the connections with a digital camera before disconnecting anything.

I got a new heating element from Ebay for £27 + £8 p&p. It also came with a couple of new thermostats as well.

You will need a torx size 20 (i think) to get the access panel off.

After replacing the heating element my machine is all working again.

Saved several hundreds of pounds in buying a replacement, so can I have a new camera dear... :-)

Hi
We've just had ours go down.
I'm thinking it may be the element as it still tumbles etc.

I've found a replacement element at £89 online so probably not worth it.

Anyway, good luck.
