my faber gv36mer gas fire wont light?

my faber gas fire when i try to ignight it it wont light i can hear the ignition click but i cant hear the gas coming out to light the pilot and i used to be able to hear the gas coming out it is a faber built in gas fireplace with flat fibre burner technology model gv36mer
