Mend Baxi Furness Ignition Pilot Light

Gas Fire Problem, intermittent but getting worse?

I have a Baxi Furness gas/fire/stove' (out of production) With the pilot light lit and turning the control knob it does not light immediately but only after say 10 seconds with an almighty ignition ??

Sounds like the burner holes are blocked.The pilot should smoothly light the main burner.Take the radiants or coalbed out and look at the burner closest to the pilot for dust across the holes in the burner.
