Remote gas fire no spark?

Hi Macker, Of course you have probably solved it by now, but just in case: I have the same problem and have got as far as you, only for the fire to flame-out. The problem is that the battery needs to have enough residual charge, not only to create the spark but also to play its part in the flame sensing circuit. The safety system is simply doing its job when it shuts the fire down. It's designed that way. There is no way of starting it manually. You should have heard a sharp, 'pip-pip-pip', noise for a couple of weeks when the battery was on its last legs. Trev
