1995 Sea Doo - Gas Gauge not registering?

I have A 1995 Sea Doo XP. The Gas Gauge will only register an 1/8 tank of gas even when it is full. I used it all summer like this thinking that the float may be stuck. I ran 6 tanks of gas through it but it still does not register a full tank of gas.
