Mend 9448 Alarm Open Front

9448 alarm not working?

After two electricity cuts in the night, we are left unable to open front (only) door to exit, without alarm sounding.(Have removed battery now)
Please, does anyone know how to re-set the alarm.
(9448). We have no manual.
