Washer won't pump or spin?

I have a Kitchenaid KAWS850GQ1 washer that won't pump the water out after the wash cycle and when I advance the time to the spin cycle it won't spin however, it does agitate during the wash cycle. I have taken the cabinet off and checked to see if the pump was by chance froze and to see if either of the lines connected to the pump were plugged and everything there is OK. I have had to set something heavier on the lid in order for it to drain and spin for the past two months and now that isn't working either. I took the lid switch off assuming that was the problem but don't know for sure. Can you help?
