Sounds like loose wire to the rear thermostat. Remove the back cover, you will see a small round thing about diameter of 10p piece with either 2 yellow or 2 orange wires. Make sure they are connected properly and check the wires are secure in the plastic connectors by giving them a tug as sometimes they are loose.
